Large snake emerging from a white toiletIt is April (this year is FLYING by, am I right?) so it is time for our favorite Coverage Corner edition – the April Fools edition! Can you spot the claim that is not true? All those submitting correct answers will be entered into a raffle for a gift card.

1. A Texas family was surprised when they found a rattlesnake peeking out of their toilet. After calling a snake removal company, 23 more were discovered in addition to damage to the plumbing. The plumber was called to repair the damage (but he didn’t have to snake the line since that was already done…😂)

2. An association in California finally made much-needed repairs to sidewalks lifted by their trees. A woman who walked her dog every day for a decade was so used to stepping up over a particularly large lift that she didn’t notice it had been fixed – and tripped and fell when trying to step up on the now-missing lifted area. Of course, she sued the association for her medical bills and not “making the public aware of the change in topography.”

3. A hot tub heater malfunctioned and the water temperature ended up at 150 degrees. A man didn’t check the temp before jumping in, and ended up with third-degree burns.

4. Power outages are a way of life recently. A couple was on vacation when the power went out at home, defrosting their freezer which leaked onto their garage floor. Their garage then ended up as a buffet for mice – lots and lots of mice. The home had to be both exterminated as well as have extensive repairs due to damage caused by the mice.
